Now before we jump into some
tips and tricks that you can use to boost your metabolism, there are
a few key rules that we need to cover.
Rule #1: Consult
with your doctor before starting any diet or workout program
Rule #2: It is
time to quit playing make believe and come to the realization that
there is no such thing as a magic pill. I know some supplement
companies promise you the world but the general rule is if it sounds
to good to be true then it most likely is. I'm not saying that
you cannot benefit from supplements but if you think you can sit on
your caboose and eat cookies while loosing weight over the long haul then you are
kidding yourself. Supplements should be used to "supplement"
your diet, not replace it.
Rule #3: Proper
diet and exercise are the key to your success. Read the first
sentence again and again until it becomes branded into your brain
;-). This is a key rule and it is important to understand that
both exercise and diet are necessary for your
success. Although you may see marginal results by only
implementing a diet or exercise program, you will never reach your
full potential unless you add both to your daily routine. You
might as well program yourself to understand that a good diet and workout
program are the key for great success. One without the other
is like a dog running in circles trying to catch his tail.
Yeah you may look busy, however you really are not getting anywhere fast.
Rule #4: Keep the body
guessing. Subtle changes to your diet and workout program can
skyrocket you to great success. I'll cover this a little more
in detail later when we talk about the cheat meal.
Rule #5: Remove
the word diet from your vocabulary. What we are talking about
here is a lifestyle change. Your goal should be to make the
necessary changes today to increase the opportunity for you to have
a long and healthy life.
